I wouldn't say he's the most overrated RB in the NFL but he is definitely overrated. I'd have to say the most overrated RB this year was Edgerrin James. He did absolutely nothing this year. I do think however that the Bills themselves were the second most UNDERrated team (Titans being the most underrated).

Well, he's not overated b/c the bills o-line isnt the best in the league, just look at the QB sacks over the past 2 years. He's been injured a little as well, so you can't knock him for that. He doesnt have to be a reciever b/c he's a power back, and his avg. is low b/c he gets so many carries, and i dont think the bills have a good #2 back. he averaged 4.0 yards per carry his rookie year and his longest run is 57 yards. he has 868 carries in just 3 seasons, which is alot! leave that man alone, he's as good as any back in the league, and he's about to get paid from some team when the bills trade him!

No, McGahee is overrated but isn't the most overrated. The bills dont have anything close to a decent O-line, so considering what McGahee did do, it's pretty good. Also, the Bills passing attack is shoddy, so teams can simply pack 8 in the box because J.P. Losman wont beat them deep.
The most overrated RB is currently, IMO, a tie between Edgerrin James of former Indy fame and the Rookie of the Year turned bust Carnell Williams. Shaun Alexander is not overrated because if you look at the numbers he had returning from his foot injury, they were close to 100 yards. Also, LJ, as much as I hate him, isn't that bad. He, too, has a poor O-line and a terrible passing game. Finally, Frank Gore is a beast. He would absolutely kill if the 49ers were a little better, and his improvement this year should be substantial.
So no, mcgahee isn't the most overrated. It's Edge James or Carnell Williams.

McGahee is overrated. McGahee supporters claim that the horrible o-line is to blame for his stats. How do they explain Travis Henry running for nearly 2800 yds and 23 tds in 2002 and 2003? Willis??? 3365yds and 24 tds in 2004, 05 and 06 combined!!! Bills o-line was worse when Henry was here. And for the gentlemen that says that JP Losman is shoddy and can't throw the ball deep...what Bills games were you watching? He had 35 passes of over 20+ yards and 10 passes of 40+yds, 2 of them being 83 yd td passes to Evans. Plus he finished 11th in the league in passer rating, ahead of Pennington, Delhomme, Favre, Roethlisberger, Eli Manning, and Hasselback. Preach to us now!

id give him one more year before he is the most overrated back out there. he did come back from a severe knee injury a few years back. side note ....unfortunetely i had him on my fantasy team and when he was starting on my team..he did very little. so, i think ill pass on him next time.
i think edge james is the most overrated right now. he leaves indy...they win the super bowl (of course peyton had a lot to do with the win also) he's supposed to spark a revival in arizona...they didnt do jack. maybe the franchise is cursed or maybe he really s overrated. side note again...edge scored a lot points whenever i went against a team where the owner had him!

good now, this is a toss up between Westbrook and Peterson. i like watching Peterson, nevertheless. He in no way is going down after the 1st hit!! this is too undesirable he's going up against my Niners this weekend, the place he will in all risk mild them up, yet hi, the Niners would be back in it, in a pair of years (greater like a decade). i would not be shocked, nevertheless, if Willis knocks his head off. Willis, Niners' rookie midsection linebacker, league greater advantageous tackler, massive meanie!! anyhow, that Peterson youngster is merely a rookie, and by this his first season he's on the verge of breaking Eric Dickerson's single season record dispite the reality that he's missed 2 and a a million/2 video games. He needs to stay wholesome, too. yet, if it got here right down to it, LT's my guy.

Ummm lets see no! He has put up 1000 yard seasons behind perhaps the worst o-line in the league. If he was with a team with a good line say San Diego, or Indy he would put up some huge numbers! For him to put up 1000 yards with the Bills is amazing because I know had bad their O-line sucks. By the way I am a huge Bills fan.

No. He is rarely mentioned as one of the upper level running backs in the league. I think the most overrated runningback is Julius Jones because people like John Madden and Al Michaels keep praising him saying that he is an up and comer because Bill Parcells drafted him and I think that he is really inconsistent.
