I have had many ingrown toenails before and what you need to is fill a bucket or something big enough for your foot with water. then pour epson salt in it. leave your foot in the salt water for 20 minutes once or twice a day. the ingrown toenail will gradually become better.

Take a pair of toenail clippers or tweezers and yank it slowly by pulling the direction of the toenail is growing which is upward if you pull straight up you may experience throbbing pain to your toe

Simple: cut a 'V' in the middle of your toenail with nail clippers. The nail will grow toward the 'V' and relieve the pressure by receding the growth of the nail into your skin.

You can't, without doing yourself considerable harm. What's the big deal about going to a doctor? I just don't understand why people on here would rather go around suffering, or doing botched up surgery on themselves, when they can get professional care. If it's money that's bothering you, most doctors will take payments. If you don't have insurance and can't afford medical care, you would be eligible for Medicaid. Get to a doctor before your problem gets any worse. Then get to your social service agency and see if you qualify for assistance. Good luck to you.
