There are lots of houses being broken into on my street........

all of the above burglars hate light so use plenty of it inside and outside your home
fit a security alarm
set timer lights for when you are out in the evenings
talk to your neighbours and agree to watch out for each others homes
dont have any thing inside visible from the outside like dvd player expensive goods laptops etc. Call the non-emergency phone number of your local police dept and ask them if they are patroling the area
make sure you insure your home and its contents lock doors and windows
place dangling chimes on all the windows andentrance doorways as they will rattle if someone gets in
hope you will be safe

close all windows, day or night when your not in that specific room
neting in each window is advised (hard for anyone too see inside)
install an alarm
install a auto-spot light at the front and back
dont leave a ladder in the garden, make sure all tools are locked up and secure (they can use it to get into your home)
... and an extra is to buy a metal base ball bat and keep it on top of a cupboard. (emergancy)

winchester defender pump shotgun - pull the plug - holds 7 i think
have a defensive retreat, ie your bedroom, with the first phone outlet, or wir a secret one from the box, because it's ver easy to jus clip the lines & you're cut off, have a cell & charger in there, solid core door, & run 4" deck screws into the hinge & jamb ( i had a plywooded closet ) big hasps on the door so you can enter , lock out the world, & kill any thing trying to get in!!

At the end of the day mate nomatter how many locks you put on things there's only a pane of glass between you and them , not encouraging i know , just live in hope like the rest of us !!
