First, turn in your copy of "Lord of the Files" and pick up "Lord of the FLIES" instead... that might give you a head start.

Think - these are children - reduced to primative emotions and reactions - does that explain at all to you why Golding might feel evil is inborn? At least in some people?? What hope can there be for mankind if children resort to such evils?? Doesnt that make such evil inborn? What about children in the middle east becoming human bombs? Does that help??

If I were you I would mention things like how the boys were in the beginning: like how Ralph and Jack started out being best friends but soon split separating all the boys into two separate groups and how each of these groups were different. Jack was a violent, crazy boy who expected all the boys in his group to follow him and do exactly what he said while Ralph was more like if we get our jobs done first then we can have fun. I guess the reason one of the themes is that there is no hope for mankind is because all the boys except for Ralph end up joining Jack's group and they all act like animals: attacking piggy and that boy that found the pilot in the cave and killing them, then they tried to kill Ralph too. I mean that is a little on the evil, wild boy side.

In short the boys were placed in an environment that resorted them back to pre societal days of hunter- gathering and savagery. Golding believed that human beings were savages inherently, yet he was also an optimist as can be seen with the ending of the book-- the boys were saved, thus Golding did believe that there was hope for mankind.

Those kids in the book end up killing each other and going savage. They do horrible evil things and before they are rescued it seems as if there is no hope for them because they will just kill each other off until no one is left. Plus, they were just kids and therefore makes the evil an inborn trait.

You should probably read some of the criticism of "Lord of the Files," particularly about alphabetization vs. functional organization of files, and whether or not files should be placed behind a desk or along a wall accessible to all.

because the world outside the island, and the KIDS on the island are both at war. war breaks out and a bunch of kids are secluded from it. without knowledge that war is going on all over the world, they start killing eachother as well. proves that the most primal instincs are the strongest blah blah....

first, start by saying how the kids start to get violent and evil. Then give some examples, like when they kill Piggy or how they chase down the one that blows the horn... i forgot the name of that kid... also, say how they send kids to war and how the kids are mean to each other.

Did you read the book? Kids alone on an island for a long period of time... what happens? If you have not read it you really should, its one you will never forget reading. Good Luck

What i might do is basically tweak your thesis ever so somewhat. instead of "Golding makes use of characterization, symbolism, and character progression for occasion his perspectives on the matters of human nature." try this:"Golding makes use of fairly some literary gadgets for occasion his perspectives on the matters of human nature" Or try this "Golding makes use of fairly some literary gadgets for occasion what he seen simply by fact the matters of human nature" (Like this one somewhat greater effective) it somewhat is phenomenal to steer away from doing the checklist element in you thesis. Write down those 3 reasons and use them as your assertions. and specific i assume your reasons are effective sufficient purely outstanding success
