Popcorn higher priced then the movie ticket?

Do u pay more for your popcorn then your movie ticket?

I don't buy stuff at the theater. My boyfriend and I go to walmart first and get bottles of pop and candy to eat. I either shove it all in my purse or coat pockets cuz my coat has HUGE pockets. We've never been caught (yet...knock on wood). Or we go to the movies after dinner so we aren't hungry for popcorn. But movie theater food is OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive. You can seriously spend like $30 on 2 people when going to the theater....college kids like me don't have that kind of money to blow. So we cheat the system and sneak in our own stuff.

I pay at least as much as my ticket for popcorn and a drink. I rarely buy anything at the theater. It's like highway robbery! The owner probably only pays about $.40 a pound or less because he buys in bulk; and the popcorn is a poor quality.

Last time I went to the movies I could not believe the price of the popcorn and snacks. It is crazy. A nice night out with friends set me back a few more bucks than I planned.

I don't buy the snacks at the movies I always carry a big purse to the the movies cause i stop at the store first to stock up on chips candy and soda. No way you can get me to pay $3.00 for M&M's at the theatre when i can get them for 50 cents at walmart.

That is crazy how expensive their snacks are getting nowadays. That's why people keep sneaking food in. I'm not going to lie, I've done it before, but can you blame people?
