The person must be related to my friend that i had when I lived in Florida. Paid a lot of money for the dog and left it outside in the heat. Didn't take proper care of it at all. To say the least when I went back home to upstate new york on vacation. The dog ended up there. Don't know how it got there or in my car or anything like that but i do know he had a good life with my parents for many many years. He thought it ran away. some people just don't think or look into what an animals needs are going to be, they go by the looks. Hopefully this dog has plenty of fresh water and some shade. If not report it.

If the husky is conditioned to FL weather, it should be no problem. It would be cruel to take a husky from Wisconsin (where I live) and ship it down to FL in the winter. If the husky (or any animal for that matter) is used to the weather, they will not grow as thick of coat (huskys may still need to be shaved). Same that it would be cruel to take a husky used to FL weather and immediately make it live in the snow.
I know of people with outside Huskies who moved to FL- they had to shave them every winter for a couple years, but now do fine. They barely grow a coat. As long as the dog isn't overheating and has plenty of shade and cool water, it is fine.

I have two huskies and live in Fl. My male stays outside when we are at work but inside when we are home. My female is crate trained and only goes outside under supervision because she will dig under the fence and escape. My male is used to the weather here and actually prefers to be outside, sometimes I have to make him come back him. We keep plenty of water and he has shelter from the sun. Usually he digs holes in the shade by the house and lays in the cool dirt. As long as they are used to it they are fine. Dogs used to cooler weather its harder for.
