I like the way you think. Bush has taken many liberties to suit an extreme right wing conservative agenda. If the puzzle pieces don't quite fit, he simply makes something up. Just think back to those scary Weapons of Mass Destruction that never existed, the very vague links of Iraq to 9/11, the charge into Baghdad followed by the position he has put those poor allied soldiers in now (no winning of the hearts of the Iraqi civilians, no way to win, no exit plan). Despite the risk to both civilian and military lives, bush goes in half arsed...a massive liberty to take. He also sets up a special military court that has lower standards of evidence and less rights for the accused so that convictions are more likely. David Hicks, an Australian, has been held for five years without a fair trial. He has only now been charged and may see the special military court 'soon'. As an Australian, I want to know if he really is guilty or not. Letting in evidence gained through torture does not give us a clearer picture of what happened in Afghanistan. How can we trust the US administration to get it right when they can't even execute Saddam properly. They nearly ripped his head off. This made them look as cruel and barbaric as Saddam himself and at the same time turned Saddam into a martyr. Time to get rid of the oil cowboy and vote somebody in with brains-it doesn't matter if they are a woman, black, brown, purple, gay...who cares...but they must have intelligence.

I think you mean that they are taking liberties. In the traditional sense of the word, refering to adherence to the constitution they are more or less conservative.

What? You just realized Bush is a moron and you're trying to pawn him off on liberals rather than admit it?

You are correct, honey.
Liberals are evil.
(Bush gave us people that work, liberal tax cuts.
Liberals hate that, since they don't work themselves.)
