I like this guy who is my friend, but recently he has been acting weird around me and always smiles at me. He is also going to prom with me but just as friends, what should I do? How do I know if he likes me?

Also everytime he goes some where he always tells me you wanna go. He is just a too good of a friend and I don't want to ruin that by telling him I like him and then us not talking. And when I told him I might go out of town for college he said no you can't go that far!!!

Don't ask him, that is for sure. If you do that, he'll get nervous, and run away. First start by giving him a gift. Make it simple. A friendship card, or something he might be interested in, like a ball of some kind, basketball, baseball, if he is into those sports. Just say your parents got it from a neighbor, and no one uses it, so you thought he would be able to. See how he acts from there. Take it all slowly. If you are going to the prom together, this says all by itself that he likes you. Make the first move, since he seems that he is too shy to do it. It will work out.

Just let it be. It will come naturally. If you force it and you are wrong you might make him/her feel uncomfortable. A great friend is better than a "lover".( I know you did not mention that far far) :) Keep treating him/ her special and just do extra little things and see if he/she response back. Like go to an event for couple only( tell him/her it just for fun) and see if they get "yucked away" or in to the moment. ;) Plan a romantic(undercover) day. Couple massage, nice dinner, and private anything.
Please don't get hurt if you get rejected..cus remember he/she is still your friend.

Ask him... That whole mind-reading thing is highly over-rated and most of us guys don't do it very well. If he's a good friend, he won't be offended or weirded out by it. From your description, it sounds like he is thinking the same thing, but you won't know until you ask. A lot of young guys without much experience with dating can be shy so don't assume he'll make the first move.

Hey waz up this is my boyfriends account but, I gonna answer this for yeah. If your guy friend spends alot of his spare time with you and tells you all of his concerns and exciting news with you than that is a good start right there. If he asks what would you do alot with different situations than that means that he really care about your opiones and takes what you say and goes off that alot than that means that he values your thoughts and what you say. If he gives you a friendly touches alot than he's clearly bein a lil. flirta` and smiles are good. So give it a shot it might take you somwhere nice.

Unless he's dating, he probably likes you. Teenage boys aren't that hard to figure out. Trust me. :)
Any ways, is he a shy guy? Has he ever dated before? If he hasn't, he may be shy. If you like him back, reveal your feelings, and maybe ask him to go to the prom as more than friends.
Just be warned, it's taking a gamble on your friendship.

Be straight forward with him. Making yourself look like a floozy or behaving like one is not going to get him to like you for the right reasons. If you really like this guy you are going to want him to respect you and that is not going to happen if he thinks you are easy.

If your friends just tell him or ask him!
Or maybe he is trying to hint that he likes you.
If you cant tell him you like him in person, then tell him on and instant message. usually if he likes you back he will say i like you too.
