Hes' the 3rd string goalie behind newly acquired Biron and backup Nittymakki and then Esche.

Chico R. Esch is terrible. He's done in Philly. Biron will be #1 now and Niittymaki is the backup. He's had groin problems in the past so maybe they just told him to shut it down in 2007.

Esche didn't convert well to the new NHL. Paddle down goalies did well in the clutch and grab defense days because shots didn't get put to the top shelf so often but most shooters have his number and they all stick it up high on him. He's soon to be former NHL goalie .
