Depends. A microscope shows you all the details when its really close up. You use a telescope to see things/details that are far away.

You would see more area with a telescope. You would see more detail in a smaller area with a microscope.

equally the same one is for distance and one is for very small objects,, so they both do a good job just different jobs to do :)
