Have leftists destroyed the free-press privilege?

The leftist Libby witch hunt is one for the history books. Weak-kneed journalists hunted down by Stalinist-jack boot leftists who laughed at the previous privileges of the press.

Being leftists themselves, the fat pathetic jounalists gave up their sources, with a lot of spin and excuses to explain themselves.

So Libby (who?) is now a convicted felon, for what, no one can clearly explain.

Ok, now the the left has trampled upon this area of the law, which previously was still untested and with which prosecutors had previously taken a "hands off" approach, what are the ramifications?

Well, would "deep throat", a high level govt official, have said a word if he didnt think his identitiy would be protected religiously? No f**g way. No way. From now on, only the dumbest of the low level insiders will be stupid enough to leek anything important. Of course, it goes without saying that anyone, from now on, who gives anything to TIME magazine should be committed to an institution.

Let me ask you a question in earnest: has there ever been anyone right of center in this country whose legal troubles struck you as legitimate and fair, as opposed to the work of "leftist witch hunts", "Stalinists", or "fat pathetic journalists destroying free-press privilege"? Your rhetoric is definitely evocative of the rhetoric of the "conservative press corps." You use innuendo and loaded words instead of facts and figures. You've given me nothing from your rant except that you know some big words and you buy into the conservative mindset.

I don't buy into any mindset, conservative or liberal. NO - Your proverbial "leftists" are not responsible for loss of free press, free abortions, or baby eating. They're just people doing the best they can in an uncertain world.
