There is this guy down the road who is single. Every five or six years he will adopt a 12 to 13 year old boy from foster care and keep them until they are about 18, then they always move out. I have never seen a single one of them come back to visit him after they left. I may be reading more into it than there is, but it does seem rather strange, in a way.

Wow!!! This is very enlightening. All of the answerers who are gay attacked me for questioning what may be happening to these boys. Straight guys and women all said either check it out more or report it to the police or social sevices. Obviously gays see nothing wrong with man/boy relations.

Yes it does seem weird. If I were you I would investigate this a bit and perhaps voice your opinions to the police or someone.

It doesn't hurt anything to try and help these boys if they are being abused. It's also your obligation, talk to other neighbors and see what they think.

Someone who decides to try to help a child and become a foster parent is often faced with the child's behavioral problems due to them being abused by their biological parents. The pay for foster parenting often does not cover all of the expenses related to helping raise the child, and there are also visits by state social workers to periodically check on the care of the foster child. When the foster child reaches the age of 18 they are legally an adult, and since the foster care system is administered by the state the foster child may be forced to move out due to the agreement the foster parent made with the state regarding the foster child. If the foster children never interact with other children or do not attend school, it could be considered odd but unless you personally know that the foster child is not attending school, is not being visited by a social worker, or is withdrawn from other people besides the foster parent I think that you are looking for a problem where none exists.

A recent news program featured a single man who fostered over 100 boys and, although they had not visited in years, were reunited in the news segment. Also, a book titled "The Lost Boy" by Dave Pelzer is a good resource on the foster care system from a foster child's point of view.

That does seem odd. However, how is he getting the foster care agency to qualify him. I have married friends who are foster parents. And they had to go through a really intense qualification process which included several home visits. And they have to constantly re-qualify. The agencies really keep up on them here. So I am surprised if there is anything going on that's shady. But, that does not mean that he couldn't be pulling the wool over their eyes either. It happens I am sure.
And that does seem weird.

Are you watching this guy's house 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year? How about phone calls - are you wiretapping his phone to make sure that none of them have called?

You're a healthy-looking boy, if that is indeed you in your avatar pic. You should go volunteer at the local community center, orphanage, or senior citizen center rather than wagging your tongue over a situation that does not concern you and of which you don't seem to have any first-hand knowledge.

It would seem that he might be sodomizing them. I am just speculating here but it is quite strange that a child who was raised by someone would not come back to even say thanks to the person who gave them shelter and food. My guess is that those kids, once they reached 18, thanked the Lord that they could move out and live on their own as it seems they were in a very abusive household.

Ther'es always the chance he was a foster kid too and knows how hard it is for 11-16 year old kids (boys esepcially) to find good homes. i plan on being a foster father when I get old enough and that age group is who I'll mainly help too. but if you think theres seomthing bad going on then you shoudl report him to CPS and theyll investisgate him.

That's kinda creepy. You may want to pay those kids a visit, or pay the house a visit, just to make sure that all is well.
