1999 Mazda B4000 with check engine light on. Error code is lean on both banks.

And if the leak causing the lean condition is not at the FPR, how in the world to you locate a vacuum leak causing my two lean error codes? Fuel filter replaced, etc..

Also, I have no adverse affect on engine performance with the two lean error codes.

Yes it can, but I dont think thats your problem if you are getting "lean" bank codes. No vacuum to a FPR will majorly richen your fuel mixture and cause "rich" bank codes. I would have a technician properly diagnosis your truck, I would lean more towards a problem with the Mass airflow sensor. Good luck

YES, if the vacuum hose is leaking the pressure regulator will not function properly. If the pressure regulator is not working right it could cause the engine to get too much fuel or not enough fuel which lean means that the engine is not getting enough fuel.

Absolutely. Check Engine lights are generally indicative of leaks more than anything else.

Sure it will. Your fuel pressure will be too low.
