Just relax. When you hype yourself up you will have a harder time inserting the tampon. Sometimes the cardboard applicators can be more difficult to insert too, b/c they absorb some liquid themselves. Try one with a plastic applicator, like Platex Gentle Glide, or Pearl. My favorite was always OB with NO applicator, though, b/c they're so small you can keep one in your pocket. If you get the "Regular" size OB, they are literally no bigger than half of your pinkie, and work REALLY well!

I did everything when I was younger - played volleyball, played basketball, and ran track - and I never really had a problem with my pads (I didn't use a tampon until I was well into highschool). As long as you aren't wearing a thong, your pad should be fine and stay in place. If it moves around a little bit, change it right after practice is over.

When I did start using tampons, I always used the ones with the plastic applicator because I couldn't ever seem to get the cardboard ones to work. Just relax and take a few minutes trying to get the tampon in. If it doesn't work, have a pad on hand just in case.

You should still be able to get a tampon in even if your flow isn't very heavy today. You could practice tonight while you are at home and comfortable- and kind of get the hang of it. Tomorrow when you are at school, just relax. If you are still afraid that you won't be able to get it in, take a pad with wings for back up- it shouldn't fall off. Also, plastic applicators are sooooo much more comfortable than cardboard ones. Playtex gentle glide are my favorite, so just try a few until you find one you like. Good luck!

I was like you when I first started my period. I couldn't get the hang of tampons at all. They hurt going in and whenever I managed to get one in, I couldn't stand up straight. Finally, I tried OB tampons and they were GREAT! They have no applicator, which makes it 1000% easier for me to use. I have used them ever since. Go to the drugstore and buy the box containing various sizes and practice with the smaller ones. They are really small and you should have no problems using them.

if u are a virgin then no dont put in tampons. plus there is a danger to tampons. if u are going to play sports for more than 2 and half hours then dont wear tampon because it can cause toxic shock syndrom which u can die from. tampon is risky. try it with pad. wear overnight pads from ALWAYS that are long and stretch to the back and get the ones with wings. if your period is heavy try to change often like every 1 to 2 hours. u can do the same with tampon but i dont know if tampon good for heavy periods.

Your pad will not come off. If you use the ones with wings and put a new one on before practise, you will be fine. I have done a lot of sports with my period and it actually gets a bit lighter, or stops while you are moving about that much.

I did this too. I bought a small bottle of ky jelly, the size is just right for your purse. When you are in the gym dressing out, just go to the restroom first. Put a little ky on the tube, and it will glide easily into place, no problem! And it will get better to do with practice. Good Luck at your meet!

there really not that hard to get in once you get the hang of it the best way for me is to do it on the toilet when you are sitting down. put it in you an push it up as far as you can then pull the card bord or plastic out. Hope that helps you GOOD LUCK

go stand on one leg, put the other one on the edge of the toilet, relax, and try again. it is not that hard. just relax. then you will succeed, even with little flow. also you can try a slightly different angle. Go win tomorrow!!
