And is there such a thing as OVER doing it (shopping that is)

Yeh, your comments make sense. I really enjoy shopping, I don't get into debt for it though. Putting money aside... and debt issues... is there still such a thing as over doing it?

Yes you can over do shopping. A person should never spend more than they have in the bank. You should never go into debt for a shopping habit. Often people tend to buy the same sort of thing. If you want to shop, then pick clothes that will add something to your collection rather than just blend in with similar items. I shop once every couple of months, but I am trying to cut back. there is very little I need and I want to save up for a trip overseas.

That depends on your income and debt situation. I got myself into a bad situation with credit cards a few years back, and it took about two years to pay it all back. So obviously, I wasn't buyin' much of anything, haha.

But now I have a good job and keep my bills to a minimum, so I will probably buy myself something every other week (like a nice shirt that I had been eyeing or a kick *** pair of shoes). I'm also in the habit of only buying pieces that are quality and fit me perfectly, so I spend more money on them than I had in the past. I figure, I'm smart with my money now, and I work hard, I'm worth it.

It's good to treat yourself. It makes that 9-5 job seem worth while.

I would have to say I receive retail therapy 3 to 4 times a week. I'm in the fashion industry and fashion trends and statements change often! I have to keep up!

i shop whenever i feel down. now if you go every day and spend $100 that is over doing it. but you should always do something when you feel down.

whenever i'm depressed or upset over some issue or whatever, shopping definitely lifts my spirits temporarily. over doing it is when you can't pay your bills or feed your starving babies
