Actually, yes...I did that one year. The first year we moved into our new home, it was within a few weeks of one of my favorite holidays - Halloween. We had been so caught up with all the aspects of the move, that we didn't even think about what day it was until it was already upon us.

Around 5:00 that afternoon I tore through the house and through boxes to see what I could throw together for a costume (I like to answer the door in full garb and see the little kid's reactions), but all I could find was my wedding dress and silk bouquet. So, I dressed as a bride and my nephew (who was helping me give out candy) dressed as a groomsman. It really threw people for a loop! They thought I was on my way to a wedding and was actually making time to give out candy in the process. One father apologized profusely by saying "Oh, if we had only known we wouldn't even have rung your doorbell!"

It was a blast to have an excuse to pull the dress out and wear it again, and it was alot of fun to see all the reactions it got!

Which one? The corn shock, the apartment building, or the freeway overpass costume?

No... I went as a pregnant nun last year (sorry to all the Catholics, it was in really bad taste and I'm not proud of it... all I can say is that they made me do it) and I really don't see me ever wearing that outfit again!

I wore an oxygen mask, and made him wear a bag over his head so I wouldn't be so scared.
