A lovely area and rich in American history. Lots of old
Southern type homes, beautifully adorned with lots of flowers and blooming bushes. Not to mention the food is fantastic. A definite Southern charm.

Charleston is located near the middle of South Carolina's coast at the point "where the Ashley and Cooper Rivers meet to form the Atlantic Ocean." It is the state's second largest city and the county seat of Charleston County. Charleston was originally called Charles Town (in honor of King Charles II of England), and its nickname is "The Holy City."

I enjoyed my trip to Charleston. Last time I was there was after Hurricane Hugo came through. We went to the Straw Market, walked the streets to see the Historic homes and churches. Went to Folly Beach and visited a plantation. The name escapes me. Very delicious food too.

I particularly have lived in Columbia, SC, the position I worked in regulation enforcement, and that i must assert i do no longer propose that residing section to absolutely everyone. i became there for a pair years and there is truly no longer something there except for partying and crime. it truly is a terrible section so some distance as college partying to the bright and the homeless. i could propose Lexington, SC in case you want that section. it truly is about 15-20 minutes from Columbia and remote from all that. it truly is a smaller city. so some distance as Myrtle sea coast, i in my opinion stay the following now. i'm no longer inspired with it both. it truly is thoroughly lifeless to the nightlife and jobs. There are only some significant shops in each and each section and stay packed (i.e Walmart). i wager it only relies upon on what you want. I stay no longer even 10 miles from the sea coast and for renting a house, we pay $800. it isn't a huge living house both and our seen to stay on the outskirts. it truly is likewise a retirement position. if you're lower than the age of 30, i tips residing elsewhere. reliable luck and need this enables!

Wonderful town to visit. Historic homes are beautiful. Beaches are wonderful. You have to try the seafood it is to die for. It was a great place to live until all of the rich yanks started moving there. Very expensive unless you live in a dump or out in the country. The public schools are terrible. a great place to live if you are loaded.
