is there a certain time you're supposed to call????

Here's how it works in the big radio markets, and this would include Chicago. Stations have a set playlist of songs that are currently in rotation. If this song isn't one of them, it's not going to get played NO MATTER WHAT. So if you call and request the song, and it gets played it's because it's on their playlist...listen to the radio long enough and every song on their current playlist will play, about 100 times. The music you hear is preprogrammed. It's not like the good old days where the DJs would actually BRING IN RECORDS that they wanted to play, or even where the station had them there and the DJ could play them. The state of corporate radio is disheartening, to say the least *shrugs*.

most stations have a request line where you can call any time. check your local station to find out what the phone number is.

you have to call or email the station...some stations also have their fax# on their website where you can fax the request also.
