Gay Unions Cozumel. Mexico Gay and Lesbian weddings on the beach are romantic easily arranged by this resident. Many private sites including yachts are available. Ceremony planner.

The website appears to be down though, so I wouldn't know how to find contact information.

Siren is right. That link seems to no longer work. It looks like it is held by an internet squatter, waiting for someone who wants to buy/rent it.

I did not find anything on the island of Cozumel. There doesn't appear to be much of a GBLT "presence" there. You may have to go to the mainland (Playa del Carmen or Cancun).

Anyway, after many detours and deadends (and some great eye candy) I did find a letter to the publishers of Passport magazine, April 2005. Take a look at the fourth letter:

"THE WEDDING PLANNER
My partner and I are taking a vacation in Cancun, Mexico in June and we want to perform a commitment ceremony while down there. Can you suggest any good resources to help us plan for this?

Publisher: You’ll definitely want to enlist the help of experts for this. To help you with all the important decisions coming your way, you might try checking out http://www.gayweddings.com which offers an exhaustive list of resources and planning tools for same-sex weddings and commitment ceremonies. For Mexico and Cancun-specific planning, try Arco Iris (http://www.arcoiristours.com). The company specializes in gay and lesbian Mexico, and has a strong presence in Cancun. On their website is a section called “Wedding in Paradise” and their wedding experts can help you with your plans. Good Luck, and congratulations!"

Maybe one or both can offer information regarding a beach ceremony on the island.

The first link below is the Passport site and the other two are the sites mentioned in the response. (I like having the links active... no copy and paste!!)

Good Luck and I hope you and your parnter have a Wonderful Day!!

It seems u are getting some really good answers here.
I myself have no desire to return to Mexico. They are no longer a 3rd world country but they keep acting like it. The police forces are covering up murders and other crimes against tourists.
All the best to you both. If you ever want an legal marriage ceremony come to Canada.
Check out these sites.
