Umm it works for some people but if you have like really sensitive skin i wouldnt use it cuz it might cause some issues. For one of my friends her skin turned red. My cousins skin started peeling and itching and im allergic to it so you know you can try it at your own risk....

I have been using proactiv for about a year or 2 and it works...for the most part. If you use it like once a week it's not going to work. Doing that could even make the acne worse. What I've found that I have to do, is go through the three step procedure every night -- that is if I don't want to risk getting a new zit by morning -- and then I just use the scrub cleanser in the morning. I also recently discovered that the mask works quite well to get rid of existing zits and those that have not yet come out, but if you use it more than two days in a row it dries out your skin -- really badly. I'm still trying to get my skin back to normal from using the mask about 4 days ago.

If you use it and then stop using it, your acne most likely will come back, possibly even worse.

It's kind of like a drug that you become dependent on. Once you stop using it, there are side effects. I'm not implying that I am or that anyone else is a drug addict -- that was just a metaphor.

So unless your not willing to take at least five minutes of your day to use Proactiv, I wouldn't bother with it.

It's delivered to your home for $56 about every two months, just a heads up. The first package contains the scrub cleanser, the skin "toner," the repairing lotion, and the facial mask. Every other delivery excludes the facial mask.

ALSO do not get the cleanser or the repairing lotion on your clothes, towels, fabrics, etc. The benzoyl peroxide will bleach them

It does actually work for most people. There's always an exception. But proactive has been the only acne treatment that's worked for me. However, you have to apply it consistently and it can dry out the skin.

Worked somewhat for me. For a while it kept my breakouts down to a few here and there, but when I hit 16, I started breaking out really bad. We went to a dermatologist, who proscribed this stuff called Duac. I've been on it for about 5 months and, since I started, I've gotten about 6 pimples total. So far, Duac works incredibly. Love the Duac!

Of course, I imagine Proactiv works for quite a few people, just not me.

yeah my son was using it for quite some time and it worked as long as he kept up with it ever single day! If ran out even for a day he broke out bad and it seemed like he was restarting all over again! it totally worked but was expensive, but yeah I took him to the Dermatologist finally and they gave him a few meds one was a antibiotic and then two cleansers and it worked just the same as the proactive but cheaper because it actually was covered under insurance but since then he doesn't need the pills anymore just the cleansers and he looks good

It does work for some people. As posted above it may cause a mild reaction for people with sensitive skin. You must be consistent with it though. My husband has been using it for a long time.....he had great results. I think it worked better then his rx stuff.

it works for me and I've used it for 3 years and been off and on birth control and pregnant. All those hormonal changes and it still kept my skin pretty clear.

I've been using it for about a week and a half and I'm noticing a BIG difference.

It'll bleach your towels, though.
