google maps tells me go to Carlisle PA then to 81 the 40. Is there a faster way?

That is the way I always went when I was stationed at Ft Cambell (45 min North of Nashville) to Hershey. We tried going thru West Virginia on 64 to 79 but it was hours longer.

take 95 south toward dc and into va.stay on beltway after 95 turns south in va.follow signs to Manassas and front royal on 64. follow to 81 south into tn then 40 WEST into nashville
my family lives just south of the airport and it takes them about 13 hrs.

www.yahoo.com maps section; www.mapquest,com; any mapping programs online can help you find the way, but, my suggestion, after using one is, look at the route and then look at an Atlas, which may show that the one suggested is not the best, nor shortest, way to get from point A to point B.
