A qualified central heating engineer would have a heat loss calculator, which measures the room size, height of ceiling etc. As it's glass this would be taken into account as well, if it's single or double glazed etc. Normally you would need more heat than in a normal room as the walls are glass. Maybe you could do this online as somebody has suggested.

You need to be careful about fixed radiator in conservatory. My neighbour had an extension built and put a conservatory up at the same time. Whilst extending the heating into the new brick extension decided that it would be a good idea to install a radiator in the conservatory. When the building inspecter came to see that the brick extension was built to the correct standard he noticed the conservatory radiator and informed them that it would have to come out. Apparently, building regulations do not allow you to have a radiator in the conservatory that runs from the main heating system as this makes the conservatory a fixed extension and needs planning permission. This may only be in our area, I don't if the same regulations apply everwhere.

Hi UK builder here, when I take on apprentices I tell them to pick up a Wickes, good ideas leaflet, for which ever job we are doing, its saves a lot of time trying to explain in lay-mans terms how things are done. These are the best leaflets on the market for the DIYer. You can also down load a pdf file from www.wickes.co.uk

To do this accurate ly, you will need a heating calculator. Some Plumbers Merchants will work the size for you with a calculator if you give them all the details.
