Ok, my bf lives in Michigan, whilst I am stuck in Virginia, and I need the cheapest, best way to contact him, by prepaid cell. Also can I get prepaid cell and use calling card? Please any suggestions will help.

Verizon Impulse. You get nights free and free calling to all Verizon customers. You can purchase this a wal-mart. I use one and I only spend about 30.00 a month. I like it alot..The phones are from 40.00 to 100.00 and the minimum you can add is 15.00 you can even purchase more air time on-line. at verizon.com/prepay

I like the tracfone the best. I actually have been buying most off of ebay from a guy name durango or something like that. price's are less money then in the store.
