pennylane. Your objection is noted. I don't think Hula itself is a gay dance, but the way Sanjaya portrayed himself doing it... yikes! I've seen some very masculine polynesian dancers who aren't the least bit effiminate

i don't like sanjaya, he blows. i don't think he is a good singer and he is just a kid. but in defense of the hawaiian/polyasian culture, it is tradition and very common for both men and women to perform many dances including the hula to tell ancient stories and to entertain in that culture.

I think Sanjaya did OK last night. He was the only one who sang a in Spanish. He took some risk. Last face it, he is the only one everyone wants to see. He always surprise people every week. If it was up to me I wish Blake will be voted out tonight. He is like the most annoying person on American Idol. I really hate all the beat boxing it's so lame.

I felt the same way. He has some very feminine characteristics. And his performance last night stunk up the whole place.
