I was just talking to my mom about this yesterday and I completely agree. Jennifer Hudson, I can see why she wouldn't want to thank American Idol but it doesn't give her the right not to.It did get her on the map and helped fuel a fan base.
And Kelly Clarkson's rudeness is just snobbish. She acts as if she'd be in the same place without Idol. She took the quick route to the top and the fans can pull that out from under her easily. It's pathetic.

Yes in a way its wrong but I don't remember American Idol giving Hudson a record deal, what I do recall is Jennifer Hudson being voted off. They owe nothing but a thank you to American Idol. Yes they helped Kelly Clarkson but I also dont recall seeing a disclaimer note on American Idol saying that "All contestants winners or losers shall be grateful to our show today and for the rest of your career"

I agree. Everyone wants to blame Simon and all the judges on American Idol for throwing off the good people, but yet they don't say anything about the people not being grateful to American Idol. Like you said, if it wasn't for the show, they would still be in a dark corner somewhere.

Who cares!? They're famous now, and why would JEnnifer Hudson want to thank them?? She got kicked off, and made it on her own...maybe the show was a catalyst, but she worked for her stardom....

Thank you simon!
ps. they probably go thru so much sh!t with that show, and have to put up with so much, and in the end...they are tied to a contract even though they were prob offered way better deals. i agree that they should be more grateful towards the show...but i also agree with them playing it down a little too.

You know I really agree with you...It was american idol that put them there and they don't care, they've got what they want now, so whyt hank american idol, the people who put them there...I think that is just selfish.

it is way messes up, they really should be thankful that the show exist because if it didn;t they would not be rich and famous. even if they hated the judges and being in the show they still should thank them fro giving them that opportunity.
