I always wanted to learn how to play either guitar or drumms. but i have to choose which one. So I just want to know which is harder. thanx

your talking to somebody who played guitars for years. I gave up on guitars and am startung to learn drums. In my opinion it took me years to play one string songs and I after about a month can rock out on the drums so my answer is as you can guess id that guitar IS harder. But thats my thoughts.

Any musical instrument is hard to learn to play well. Drums are good for getting started--just bang on them!--but really getting good chops takes a lot of time. Guitar has a little steeper learning curve, but you can learn a few chords pretty quickly too. Both can be expensive, frustrating, satisfying, and HARD. So I think you really should just decide which one is more appealing to you. Which one makes your heart dance when you think about playing it well?

I've played guitar for about 10 years, and have never picked up drumsticks in my life.
However, I feel that you should pick the guitar. Why? Well it's the instrument to have if your sitting around playing in your house and you actually want to play songs and sing along to them. You'll attract a crowd, and it's fun learning and playing your favorites. The drums? You can't play along and sing to the drums. Doesn't seem nearly as fun to me...

the one in my opinion that is harder is the drums. but guitar is
easier with just a few patterns you are playing music in the guitar
already. but with drums u have to develop speed & that takes time

I've played both, and guitar is easier to me, I never really tried to hard to learn drums, but there is more to learn with drums, and you are doing multiple things at one time, and their are rudements to learn. guitar is easy, but to get good it takes a lot of practice.

well, in my opinion, guitar. even though i can read music, i can never get the fingerings right. thats why i play the drums!!!

guitar would be harder but it would sound way better.
