You haven't provided enough information to really troubleshoot your problem, but here's a couple of troubleshooting tips for you.

1) Since your wife's computer has no problem, check into what are the differences between your computer and hers. Do you have the newer machine, is she using a cabled connection while yours is wireless, etc.

2) Also, has anything recently changed with your system? New computer, new network card, etc.

Hope that helps. Good luck!

you could ping your guy or woman pc or try ipconfig, this tells the modem to restart the ip handle on your pc. This must be achieved with digital modems, you additionally can close it off for a on a similar time as and enable it cool off, seems to help. XP has a situation with the digital alerts for some reason, do no longer carry your breath for a restore. stable success...Steve

If you have a network, probably you've specified an incorrect IP number.

For example, if your wife's computer IP is something like 10.0.120.0, yours must be 10.0.120.1, and the next one must be 10.0.120.2 and so on.
