Actually it has - it talks to me and moves across the floor when no one is around but me. It's lid opens and shuts and it starts to look evil. I tried to unplug it but it still does the same thing.

My washer has a "Cycle Signal" switch which you can turn off or on...you might check to see if yours has one.

On = loud, obnoxious noise when wash cycle is complete.

Off = no running around the house with a flower vase.

not usually, but the wash room is in the basement & I sleep on the second floor, so it would have to be pretty loud!

girl, u should buy a new one because the one u have is horribly loud causing nightmares to you and probably insomnia to your neighbors!!! No, this has never happened to me!
