I have always been completely fascinated by sound. How do I go about majoring in this?

You may even find this under the Engineering department at some schools. Ask your guidance counselor about it.

The University of Texas and MIT both have excellent acoustics programs. At UT, the Acoustics program is part of the Mechanical Engineering department. I'm not sure about how MIT has it structured, but I think it's probably also on the engineering side of things.

Acoustics is a great field, though there's not a huge number of jobs out there. But, it is certainly very fascinating indeed. Good luck to you!

It is a branch of Physics. I bet you can find it as a full major at a big school. You might have to look around a little.
