What do you think of what Lisa Novak did?
Because it is an irresponsible act. All job and family and her divorce were too much for her? Or she saw something in space and her behaviour was induced to lower her credibility?

She did what she did because she was mentally traumatized after her hard experiences in space. It is very tense and stressful out there you know =(

Can't someone just have a crazy, emotionally driven moment?
She was in a love triangle, she got jealous, she committed a crime out of jealousy and passion. Just because she is an astronaut, she was put in the lime-light. These crimes of passion occur daily to thousands of people, and noone thinks "they saw something is space".

It's more mid-life crisis than space dementia. Thousands of men and women do things as equally stupid as she's done, but they're not astronauts -- so it rarely makes the news.
