I am goign to be towing my quad out, I have the hitch but I need the square part with the little silver ball that it hooks on to and I cannot remember what that is called?

All these people are wrong. You need a ball mount. You have the receiver on the truck. Get one with the correct drop for your trailer and buy a ball sized for your trailers tongue. Whole thing will cost about $20 at walmart or autozone or someplace like that.

The hitch you have is a receaver hitch. You need the male insert, measure the opening in the hitch so you get the right size. Don't forget the locking pin that holds it together.

the square part is called the receiver, and the ball has to be purchased separately, be sure you get the correct ball size for the trailer tongue latch you are using,
