Nope, but you have sorted tomorrow's day off out for me :) Cheers

Just an update (08/03/07) Didn't do that, went to the pub instead, oh then some shopping, downloaded some movie clips . . . . bugger, wished I'd stuck with the floorboard idea

A big old wall clock (1920s ish, with pendulum -- the sort of thing you might have seen in a school classroom back then). Never figured out why it had been put there...

That was under our kitchen floor. We had to replace the floorboards when we moved in.

I found out that my ant colony is still alive! It turns out they didn't die, they just wanted somewhere to live where I wouldn't stare at them all the time! I'm so happy they're safe.

Oh- I also found a 1940 paycheck stub from some guy that worked for a mining company. The gross pay was $40.00 for one week, and the government had withheld a total of 2 dollars and 17 cents.

AUUUUGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

That question is CREEPY!

Now that I think about it, in Japan, many houses are built with about a 3-foot-tall space under their bottom floor, for air circulation or something. When I was living with a Japanese couple, they had a person come to their house once to check for termites or something. They have a little door on the kitchen floor so service people can get in and crawl around. I personally would be terrified of getting trapped under there or finding a dead body!

Yep! We found a HUGE bee hive under our front room as we needed to get pipes down for central heating. And in the loft we found that our insulation is late 1970s porno mags, wondered what was taking the guys so long up there!!!!!!!

I keep getting the urge to. The mother and kids who were renting my house before I moved in, disappeared suddenly and I often get the feeling that a black cat is in the house. (They apparently had a black cat). Sometimes things fall over for no apparent reason and I just feel that the hallway holds a dark secret. But I daren't look!

we used to play in this abandoned house & you could crawl from room to room under the floorboards.

Actually the whole place was really creepy and supposedly haunted by the ghost of a crying baby!!! but I never heard it.
