No, I think it just causes the mind and brain to become foggy and overloaded with emotion and feelings. It doesn't take away any of your intelligence, although you may feel like you can't think anymore.

No. Intelligence can only be affected by some kind of distruction of the of brain, such as dangerous chemicals, blows to the head, age, infection, etc.

Emotional struggles may make it harder to learn things but that is not the same as intelligence.

In the short term, it can seem as if they do, because they affect your confidence and your ability to concentrate. Both of these things are required to efficiently process information and solve problems.
