LEt her suck on wet face cloths. I have heard the same about baby oragel and have never used it with my 3 children. Teething toys that are cold tend to help as well.

Teething Tablets. Its a natural, homepathic remedy that was suggested by my pediatrician! They work and is so much better than giving them medicine all the time. I usually give her the recommended dose of 3 tablets and a teething ring. If shes still acting fussy and I know shes not hungry I will give her the Tylenol. It drastically cut how much Tylenol I was giving her though. They are usually on the baby aisle next to the Orajel. I know Target does not carry them but Walgreens and Publix both do.

Infant Orajel is okay, but you should use it as little as possible. I only used it a few times as a last resort with my 3 children and they never gagged. Baby Tylenol or Baby Advil (ibuprofen) works best. You can try putting teething rings in the fridge. Babies like the cold. Just make sure to wash them often. Good luck!

Hylands teething tablets worked well for my early teether's as well, I now only give Tylenol when its pain and fever. both of my children started teething around 3 months old, these pills are homeopathic and 100 % natural they dissolve instantly in the mouth and cause immediate relief I wish i had found these for my first child.
