i will be honest with you love,i have learnt everything i know about computers(and thats quite alot so i have been told) from basically hands on experience and just reading as many magazines and books as i can
i find it very informative to read the letters sections in magazines like p.c advisor,as they publish problems that most of us will either experience or have experienced and by reading them in the way they publish them they seem to stick in your mind
also the microsoft knowledge base(http://support.microsoft.com/search/?adv=1)is a excellent source of information and can help you on every area of the windows operating system ranging from windows 95 right up to the latest os "vista"
however if you still want to learn about p.c,s online download.com do regular online classes which are free to enrol on and range from office applications to setting up your media player and much more, you can find more info at http://my-courses.classes.cnet.com/mycourses/
i also rate the "windows for dummies" series of books as a excellent read, they teach you about computers in a plain and simple language and the information is fun and informative
what you need to beware of is that there are lots of bad online computer teaching sites that charge you alot of cash for what i rate as a average learning experience
readers digest also do a excellent hardback with a cd-rom that will teach you all the basics as well as more advanced techniques in computers
good luck
