Of course, love has nothing to do with politics. My parents are of opposing parties, and just celebrated 36 years of marriage.

Well, considering that there is no "opposite" party I'd have t say yes. I'm an independent so in a way there is no opposite party. I vote the way I want and that's for the best person for the job.

I am married to someone in the opposition. I work in politics. He works in the government. It can get interesting at times. But love, and respect, conquers all.

Yes. There would be no reason not to. Everybody has the right to their own opinions. It may cause some problems though, depending on how passionate one is about their beliefs. I don't think that it is as much about political parties as it is a morals & values thing.

yea why not. that would be a pretty silly reason to divorce stating (he believes in bush under unreconciable differences)

o come on are you serious? i dont think anyone would be that die hard to not marry the one they loved because they didn't respect their own wives or husbands opinion
