it's not a scam - i checked the website and the scout gave me a portfolio. i'm busy as it is.........keepin up schoolwork/grades, ice hockey, track & field, orchestra...i don't know if it should do it. my parents are fine with it, my mom even wants me to do it....but i want to keep my other commitments. what should i do? should i model or not? there is some traveling involved for shoots and stuff. i just don't know...

it would be a good opportunity, it is not everyday someone wants to make you a model, you will just have to set up the things you want to do most, and if modeling is in that, then do it, make a priority list and work from the top to the bottom

you should ask yourself if this is what YOU want to do and don't worry about what other people think. I was in the same situation as you and decided to finish school before I pursued my modeling career. This is because, what if I don't do well or get into a disfiguring accident (I know a little extreme), or any other situation. THan i will have nothing to fall back on if I didn't completly focus on my education. I didn't want to throw my future down the drain becuase I had a 98 average in all AP classes in highschool and didn't want to throw that away on something that wasnt a sure thing. Do what you feel is best for you, because it is ultimately your life and your decisions. Good luck in whatever you choose to do!!!

Models are the scum of the earth. For the love of all that is decent, DO NOT become a brainless model!

hmm....that tough. i would go for it though! since you're so busy, try to work something out where you wouldn't be doing it full time. maybe just a few phot shoots every weekend, or something. i think its great that your parents are up to it though. you'll never know if its right for you until you try it!

if it's what you want to do, then do it. it seems like a tough business. make sure they don't want you to pay for your pictures, etc.
