What type of ship?

by sailing yacht today, maybe 21-40 days

by 2nd class steamer 1910-1940; 10-15 days

by first class steamer ( Queen Mary and her ilk ) 4 1/2 - 5 days

Record is SS United States, 1952 something like 3 days, 20 hours
