Merciful means having, showing, or feeling mercy (kindness, forgiveness, restraint shown by somebody who as a right or power to punish).

Another meaning of merciful is piece of good luck , fortunate.

I f someone is merciful it means that they are kind to another person who does not diserve it. Like if you owe 2,000 dollars to youre friend and he doesnt beat you up or sue you.
