go to winningwriters.com they are free to join and they have a list of free writing contests. i use them all the time. hope it helps.

There are plenty out there. Go to Preditors and Editors site and also join Absolute Write Water Cooler forum for details on open contests. Also pick up a copy of Writers Market and Writers Digest Magazines for other contests. Do NOT pay a fee for contests. Those ones are bogus.
