I am working on this page for a circle journal, it's called "old things" I want to add bones to my piece but they have to look old first. Any ideas how to make bones, such as cicken bones, look old and dirty? I would like for them to look at least 5 years older.

Hey Leslie,

I would boil them to get all the recent flesh off of them, grizzel, etc. Then bake them in the oven until completely dried out. Maybe roll them in some dirt too.

You could try soaking them in vinegar or another mild acid. This might help to dissolve them a little and make them look aged. Then you could put them in some dirt for the dirty part.
