Global climate change is real, and the large majority of scientists around the world have agreed that the main cause is human activities, especially carbon dioxide production from burning fossil fuels.

There are still some global warming deniers, but they are having a tougher and tougher time ignoring what is really a huge amount of very good scientific evidence. Unfortunately, some ofthem are being paid by fossil fuel companies to deliberately lie about global warming and say it isnt happening. That is a pretty sad situation, but unfortunately there have been scientists who would lie for money since the Nazis, the cigarette industry and the nuclear power industry. You have to go with the consensus of scientists who have not been bought. Check the IPCC report for an objective summary.

Global warming is occuring. The cause of it, and whether or not the activities of mankind can be altered to slow or prevent it have not yet been determined scientifically. Everything else you may hear in the press is mere speculation.
