You should speak to your OBs office to be on the safe side and for peace of mind. That said, spotting during pregnancy is 100 percent normal and commonplace; for that matter, a huge number of women bleed during pregnancy without there being anything at all wrong.
A couple of spots is completely normal, and without cramping to boot! But as I said, call your OBs office and speak to a nurse, if for no other reason then to let your doctor know what's happening with you.
(By the way, most women I know had some spotting during pregnancy; my closest friend, now pregnant, has been spotting every day for weeks. Nothing is wrong at all. I myself had bleeding during pregnancy that was all fine, too.)

I just want to say to call your doctor right away. It is probably nothing, but it happened to me and it was not nothing. I had some brown discharge and called my doc. They said the same thing that everyone here is saying... old blood, etc... dont worry unless have cramping and heavy or red bleeding.... that was at 81/2 weeks ( i had ultrasound at 8 weeks and everything was fine ). Nothing else every happened and when I went in for my 12 week appointment they did a pap and saw some old blood - my cervix was closed. They did an ultrasound and there was no heartbeat..... I ended up having a missed miscarriage and a D&C.
The baby had stopped growing at about 71/2 weeks.
Anything that seems out of the norm should be taken up with your doctor, not people on these boards.... Like I said, most of the time everything will be ok, but please please call your doctor and if you think there is anything wrong insist on an ultrasound!!!!!
Now mom to healthy 8 month old boy!

Should be fine. Had you just been checked down there? That will cause bleeding. But the other answer is right if it was brown it is old blood. Only worry if it is BRIGHT red. I had my period with one of my kids and no problems!
Should be fine if you are still concerned call your Dr.
Good Luck!

you shouldnt worry too much but always consult your doctor. here is a website to make you feel better. i had the same issue when i was around 6 weeks and the doc said it was ok.but like i said, i would still call your doctor. they are used to people asking questions. nothing is ever too dumb to ask. im now 21 weeks pregnant and i bug my doctor on anything i feel uncomfortable on or dont know about. she might be sick of me right now but at least my questions being answered by a professional help me rest at night knowing my baby is fine

It's probably okay. Brown blood is old blood and it could be old blood left over from implantation. I would call your doctor just to let them know and see where they want to go from there.
Just take it easy for a while and try to rest when you can. Good luck :)

Everything is probably okay. Some women have a bit of spotting during early pregnancy, but you should call your doctor anyway.
Godspeed!

ah pregnancy and all its weird discharges!
I had that same issue, when I seen my doc about it he told me it was like "old blood" and nothing to worry about. your gonna have all kinds of discharge! as long as its not burning or itchy or bad smelling, then usually theres nothing to worry about.
however if it keeps happening see your doctor.

it is probably just a phantom period, some women have them, but for the Love of God, ask your Doctor, not Yahoo!

I would say so. If it happens anymore maybe you could bring it up to your doctor, though. Just to be on the safe side. ;D
