I've Got A Pessimistic View Because They're Quite Easy To Find Lol But I Need An Optimists View On What Will Happen To The World By 2050? Like The Fact That The Population Will Reach 8 Billion But Then Start To Decrease Again.. Just Need To Find Some Links To Look At On Here.. Ta Ta xx

Can't think of an optimist's point of view. All I will say is that I will be very surprised if there's not a WW3 by 2050. So hope I'm wrong though.

The bad

The will be many more natural desasters
America if not allready destroyed will control all the asian countries by putting puppet regiemes and exploit there resorces
Millions more people will die
The west will live like kings with everything they need while the 3rd world becomes the 4th world and billions die of hunger
Israel will evetually occupy most of the middle east upto the euthraties river and expell everyone from there calling them terrorists

The good

George bush will leave
There will be amazing technology, such as a chippin your head to access the internet in you mind and pictures on contact lenses
There will be video messeges or questions being allowed on yahoo answers
People will realise that most of the media is a tool for government propeganda in all coutires wether it is iraq or america and will become extreemly cinical especially when a government says that other countries have WMDs or they are builing nukes where actually theres plenty of oil there

It's a start.

But on a more basic theory, I'm surprised no one has mention planet colonization or manned deep space exploration. Nasa is planning on landing the first man on Mars sometime near 2020 or so. I think Earth will be only one site for humans to live.

Also, I saw someone say the natural resources like oil will be exhausted. That will probably be close to being true, but by then, there will be so many new technologies for producing energy that oil will seem infantile.

I don't think war will cease as it's been a fact of life in every generation from the beginning of time. But I don't think money or power will be the basis for war. I see the world moving toward a unified economic system. The dollar bill as we know it will not exist. For the sake of being positive, I'd say we as a human race will finally understand what it means to work together to further each others agenda's rather than squabbling over who's idea is better.

The world's oil supply will be completely depleted due to the current rates at which it is being consumed. Therefore the global market will be drastically different, including shipping, manufacturing, even the containers used to hold items (aka oil based things such as plastics, etc.) This also means for the economy to have any chance of survival, there will be alternate fuel sources and cars will be running on some sort of alternate fuel (water, hydrogen, air, etc.) Computers will have improved dramatically considering the increase in processor rate is huge right now. In other words, it will be a different world.

in accordance to Maclean's magazine, we would have already lost our identity. we can be a thoroughly diverse individual than the single we've been born as. If we don't love ourselves, we could be waiting to alter something we adore. We would each and every replace into remoted from different areas of humanity, speaking purely via our on line international. And we can be nicely on our thank you to finding a scientific preserve each and every little thing; we can be waiting to flow with the genes we want our toddlers to have...the potential of the Singularity device (despite which could be :S)

2050 is going to be crazy, the technology is going to be nuts, but people are going to be so depressed, families are going to be based on technology not love. As technoloy grows humans are going to act more like robots, I believe the Matrix theory can happen. One day we will find that our machines are taking care= of everything for us that, we barely even move and then one day we are going to fall asleep and the machines are going to pamper us into submission.

umm well by then mcdonalds and apple computers wouldve joined forces and in using their fatty foods and ipods they were able to take over the world, renaming earth... they havent decided yet so they fought across names until they killed each other.
