I appreciate that he wants to do his bit but I think he will cause more danger for the men around him than he can justify.
He will be a prime target for Al quaida and therefore a massive security risk to this country.
If they got him what would our Queen be willing to do to get him back . How much publicity would terrorists get if they beheaded him on national TV or the Internet. How would we respond.
We are meant to be calming things down in Iraq , getting ready to pull out, we could end up escalating the situation if Prince Harry goes and does get captured.

There is a kind of honesty in the Prince going to Iraq - an honesty noticeably missing in our Dear Leader, Emperor George the Decider.
.
Bush could have gone into combat in Vietnam but he wimped out and settled for safe cozy stateside armchair duty - from which he then went AWOL. What a war hero.
.
Now he tells us his campaign in Iraq is a "noble cause." Wow, I'm so impressed. Funny thing that there don't seem to be any of the Bush family members in uniform. Hmmm.
.
The British royals show more integrity.

Well at least I've learned that he's called Henry. I never pay much attention to what the inheritors of medieval gangsters do. They aren't important enough.
Sure, why not go over. He'll be home before a bullet flies no doubt. Maybe, just maybe, someone will get him and we can all have a good old fashioned royal "cry-up". Boo-hoo.
We shouldn't have started this war. We're their now, so the job needs doing right.

Prince Henry must be a bastard son of Charles. Anyway, Harry, who is the one going to "Iraq", will only be there for show. You don't really think the Royal family wouild ever expose an heir to possible danger, do you? All that will be is a photo-op.

You're not really mistaken. Prince Harry's real name is Henry.
But anyway.
I am not for the whole fighting in Iraq thing, but if Harry wants to go, then let him.

A man is a man ~~~and men do various things for themselves, and throughout history men have left home, sailed the seas, gone on treks and journeys, and gone to war ~~~ etcetera.
I think it is all in the same tradition, the same human urge, a restlessness to grow ~~~even Buddha could not stay home!
It is exciting, I think. It is not always the best or the easiest of situations~~~ Buddha left behind him a young wife and small baby ~~but it is the eternal quest ~~~it is thrilling.

It is what he is expected to do. As the second son of the heir to the thrown he is expected to be a military man. It has been this way through out the history of the monarchy. William is being groomed to be king. Harry is expected to dedicate his life to his father and brother's subjects through military leadership. He will eventually be a general. It is tradition.

My Son in Law has just returned from Iraq with some cuts and bruises so I see no reason why anyone else in the armed services should be exempt. I bet he gets well protected.
