it has to be the most annoying thing in the world.
a) it is harder on the eyes to read
b) it appears that the person is screaming
c) usually when people do that, they can't spell properly, making it even more difficult to read.

One possible explanation is that some people can't see well, and they write in all caps because it is easier for them to see. Apparently, they also do not know how to enlarge their screens.
Another explanation is that they believe that caps draw attention to their words, in much the same way that people talk loudly so that people will listen to them.
Similarly, some people think that if you stress your viewpoint in a strong manner, it gains value, much like a person who thinks that yelling and shouting somehow makes his words true.

I don't know why either, and I was also taught when using all capital letters one would appear mad and considered quite rude.
I really don't think some people understand this, but after one /s read this posting and it's answer one /s will give it a thought.
PS. I myself have seen this just the other way around from not spelling proper. They mostly were educated people that I know,saw of this and could spell.

Because capital letters sometimes seem more appealing to use to some individuals. I certainly hope you do have more important life issues to deal with than being concerned how one types.

people has the right to write however they want or what is a new law coming out now? I like people to write me back in capitals, I wear glasses and is a lot better for me, a lot of people say that is rude, nah, its's about choices isn't it?
