My three hated MLB teams:

1. New York Yankees- They are the entire league, at least to everyone who roots for them or anyone who works for a sports outlet (ESPN, FOX, MLB Home Plate on XM Radio). I will never understand how a team that seemingly underachieves the last six years is the team to beat.

2. Tampa Bay Devil Rays- The team has never had a winning season in its short history, rarely has a clue as to building a team (Are we going with veterans or kids? Make up your mind!), and have the dumbest team name in the league. On top of that, they cleary play in the worst stadium not named the Metrodome.

3. St. Louis Cardinals- For all the hoopla about Tony LaRussa being a baseball "genius" (and trust me, he's not. The Mets handed him the pennant, and an inexperienced post-season team such as the Tigers handed him a World Series on a platter, making the Cardinals the luckiest and worst team to win a title), the Mark McGwire saga, Jim Edmonds being overrated as a defensive standout, and the sheer fact that outside Albert Pujols (who will be one of the greatest players in league history) there are no other players of note who strike me as "special" on their roster. People will say that "Chris Carpenter won a Cy Young award." So what? So did Mike McCormick, LaMarr Hoyt, Bob Welch, and Mark Davis. Therefore, Carpenter is no closer to the Hall of Fame than those guys!

Oh, by the way, go Blue Jays!

For me as a Twins fan it is
#1 always has always will be The A's of Oakland going back to the early 70's when the A's knocked the Twins out as the dominating team in the old AL West up to the mid 80's early 90's when the A's had a semi dynasty that imploded, plus the unis are a mockery of common sense. Boy I wanted so bad for Eckersley to put one in Puckett, Gaetti, or Hrbeks ribs and for one of them to go out and knock the snot out of him. But boy he was a helluva pitcher.
#2 White Sox
#3 Yankees
#3a Braves
#3b Giants only because of Bonds liked them back when they had Will Clark, Matt Williams and even before when they had Darrell Evans

The Cubs Rule!

I don't have time to hate teams - I spend all my energy rooting for the Kansas City Royals

There are teams I enjoy watching lose more than others, though. Namely the Cardinals and White Sox. Just to add a third, we'll throw the A's in there.

Hate the Yankees -- The whole Evil Empire thing.
Hate the Giants -- Why must they cater to Barry Bonds?
Hate the Dodgers -- The worst fans in baseball. (Not mean, just lazy and take the game for granted too much.)

I feel sorry for the Cubs -- no one should have to suck for so long, and they will again in 2007.

1) Cubs - tired of hearing about when they are going to come around and having it never happen
2) Yankees - tired of a team who's always supposed to be good but their egos get in the way and can never be good enough
3) White Sox - tired about how hearing how good they are after making one season of coming out of nowhere and winning it all.

Side note: Bud Selig does not own the Brewers, Mark Attanasio does and has for a little while now.
