Technically the gift belongs to the person who owns the card, however, the person who actually spend the money on that day is actually the rightful owner of the prize. Why? Since the prize was actually for the person who spends the money. I think that this is a technicality of the prize it self, because you can only win the prize if you spend the money on that store when you were shopping at the time that the store had the deal of giving prizes away. Just because another person has the card, it does not mean that the person is the owner of the gift.
Remember it is the person who owns the receipt of the item bought. Why? Because for you to receive the prize, you have to purchase something that day. That is the reason why the store will usually have an advetisement saying, "Buy this or that item and enter you're name for a chance to win something."

Well, I would split it. You wouldn't have received the discount without using my card therefore you wouldn't have won the prize.
A 50/50 split seems fair.

Hrmmmmmmm....to me, I think it is yours, really, assuming you paid for your own purchase but just borrowed the discount card for the discount.
like this: if I borrow a buck from a friend to play the lottery, do I win the $ or do they......I would gladly give them back the buck!!!!LOL

I think rightfully, it would be the owner of the discount card's decision - maybe you could split it equally or something.

I would say that you should offer it to the card owner, if they dont want it then it is yours. You wouldnt have gotten it if it werent for them so share as a thank you!

I think that since you actually were the one spending the money, it should be your gift.
