As in like, do they need to buy more goods from other countries, or do they sell their own crops to their own country?

I'd say yes. I don't think Argentina is as advanced as the USA but from what I understand they're not 3rd world. At least they're not anywhere near what Mexico is.

The real problem with Mexico is a corrupt government. Mexico has plenty of good resources but they're not managed well. The rich enjoy being rich, and it costs time and money to fix the little poverty problem.

argentina's economy is WAY more volatile than mexico.....they have more "modern" types of things, more influence from europe, etc... but as far as the economy goes...mexico is more self sufficient.
