Hello, i've been doing a lil bit of research and came across a sugestion that drinking 4 heaped tablespoons of brown sugar in warm water can induce labour.

Has anyone heard of this and any theories as to how it works, if it works lol.

Gotta be better than cater oil

I've never heard that. On the labor floor here, the main suggestion is walking around a lot more.

There's no reason that would work - nothing in there is special - it's just sugar water (brown sugar has a little molasses, which has an insignificant amount of iron in it, but that's it.)

I've never heard of that, and caster oil would not be a good idea. I know that having sex can help induce labor, walking up and down stairs can help. Also pelvic tilts/rocks can help. You can try some of those and if you are more thn 5 days overdue, look into having your cervical membranes stripped by your doctor. Best of luck!

Not true. Stop trying to induce. Talk to your OB about this. He/she can explain in detail.
